The series follows Beth (Schumer) whose life looks great on paper, as she has it all—the job, the city and the man. But when a sudden incident occurs, it forces Beth to engage with her past, which leads to her life changing forever. The series’ description states that Beth begins to understand how and why she got to be the person she is today.
Beth is told by a doctor that she has “just a few questions” before receiving an MRI.
He cuts her off and she responds, “I can just save your time.” “I have had more than 30,000 beers, and my stomach is a mess. I can’t even chew food. I feel like I am barreling toward 40.
“I was referring to any existing conditions.” He continues to ask. Beth replies, “I am a woman.”
