Johnny Depp took the stand

Depp spoke out on April 19, explaining why he decided to take the case in high-profile, defamation.

“I felt it my responsibility to stand up not only for myself in my instance, but stand up for my children who at the time were 14 and 16,” the dad of Lily-Rose Depp22 Jack Depp20 with ex Vanessa Paradis, testified, NBC News reported. It was high school. I found it diabolical for my children to have to attend school, and then have friends and classmates approach them with the famous PeopleMiss Heard poses for a magazine cover, with dark marks on her skin. Depp said that he had never been able to strike Heard “in any manner” or struck any women in his adult life.

Depp said to Depp that six years have been filled with trying times. It’s strange to be Cinderella, so to speak, one day and then in six seconds Quasimodo the next. It was not my fault, and neither did my children nor the people who had believed in me all those years. It was not my intention for anyone to think I had wronged them, lied to or been a fraud.

Depp will likely remain at the stand to be cross-examined on April 20, before Heard steps in.
