The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office confirmed in a statement to CelebHomes News on Friday, Oct. 22, that the filing was made three days prior. The office recently convened a grand jury to hear witness testimony and consider charges against Durst over the death of his former wife, the reports said.
Kathleen’s family attorney stated in a separate statement that Kathleen’s criminal complaint was “very happy with this development.” We will not make further comments until the Grand Jury process concludes.
Durst’s lawyers filed notice that they intend on appealing the Los Angeles conviction. The New York Times reported.
The outlet reported that he was in prison for five of the last five years, and was recently placed on ventilator after testing positive to COVID-19.
