Queen Elizabeth IIAs she addressed the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, she praised her family for their efforts to combat climate change.

She spoke on Monday, November 1, at the COP26 event in Glasgow, Scotland to emphasize the importance of limiting global climate change. Her speech, previously recorded from Windsor Castle in the past, began with a tribute for her late husband. Prince PhilipShe was 99 years old when she died in April. 

She shared that she is happy to perform this duty because the impact of the environment upon human progress was a topic dear to her heart. 

The 95-year-old monarch went on to commend son Prince CharlesAnd grandson Prince WilliamThank you for keeping this legacy alive. “It is an honor to me that my husband has a leadership role in encouraging people protect our fragile planet.” she said. “I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
