
Orphan Black is bringing its DNA back to television.
Popular sci-fi series on human-cloned clones was aired for five seasons by BBC America. It is now getting its own spin-off. Orphan Black: EchoesAMC+ will air the premiere of this series on AMC+ 2023. The network was announced April 6.
The show will be available for streaming on BBC America and AMC.
Uncertain if Tatiana Maslany, who won an Emmy in 2016 for playing the five main clones on the original series, will reprise any—or all!—of her roles.
According to the network, “The new Orphan Black is set in the near future and takes a deep plunge into the explorations of the scientific manipulation human existence.” The story follows four women on a journey that unravels the secrets of their identity, uncovers a tragic tale of love and betrayal and weaves their way through each other’s lives.
Fans can find solace in knowing that Maslany will be back, regardless of whether or not Maslany is still with us. Orphan Black co-creator John FawcettEchoes will have him back as an executive producer and director.
