CelebHomes News exclusively spoke to the 17-year-old about her work with CelebHomes News Venus and Serena Williams on the set of King Richard.
“They’ve visited us on set. We’ve gone out to dinner with them a few times, talk to them on the ZoomsAnd things like that,” Layla said at Cirque du Soleil’s Red Carpet Premiere of OVO on March 16. They’re very nice. They’re sweet and very supportive.
“And they are pioneers, especially young Black women, so it means much,” she added.
Although it was an amazing experience, Layla said that the pressure of working with tennis stars added to the movie’s success. She said the actors had to be true to their stories. Layla is Venus’ sister and Serena’s sister. Lyndrea PriceIt is described as “beautifully overwhelmed” by one of its users.
She said that “a lot of people are aware that they want the movie to be up to their standards.” It is so touching to me that people like it signed up and loved it. We are not only exploring their world but also honoring their stories. This is a very important story that must be shared.
