The HBO drama, Kieran Culkin plays media mogul Logan Roy’s youngest son, the lazy, entitled and often sneering Roman Roy. But casting directors originally had a different role for the actor in mind.
“They wanted me to read for Cousin Greg,” Culkin, 39, said in an interview onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday, Nov. 5, “which I just didn’t feel right for.”
He added, “They wanted me to read it for Greg.” It was obvious that I had made a mistake. Normally, in any script I would say, “OK, this is not the right part. I’m closing it. I’m continuing reading on.” But I liked the script so I continued to read. I thought, “Oh, here’s the guy. His first line is something I cannot say on your show.”
Culkin later changed his mind. He said that he now says “Hey motherf–kers,” and I was able to understand why. ThisGuy. The way you do it is very nice. He talks. I can do This“
