While Bassett didn’t go into specifics, he did make headlines this year thanks to his much rumoredAnd oft-discussed love triangle with Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter. Rodrigo released his single driver’s license and a series of social media posts fuelled the speculation. Maybe you have heard about it. It’s a song about a young artist who is 18 years old. Rodrigo is not a member of the sexting community. ClearlyFans have speculated that Bassett is the one she’s talking about in this song. After Rodrigo’s Grammy-nominated album was released, theories continued to circulate. Sour.
Though according to Bassett, she’s allowed her lyrics to do the talking, the 20-year-old singer recently telling GQ that she “hasn’t spoken to me since ‘Drivers License’ came out.”
