She was instantly confounded by the nature of her illness and asked her doctor whether it had “instantly” developed or had taken longer to develop.
“And he says, ‘Well, it’s an instance, but you’ve basically been very stressed for a long period of time and you probably did not recognize that,'” Chelsea recalled. “And I was like, ‘Oh, s—t.'”
She wasn’t alone in being surprised by the diagnosis, as it turned out.
