HBO announced in an astonishing turn of events that The IdolFrom creators The Weeknd (a.k.a. Abel Tesfaye), Euphoria‘s Sam Levinson Reza FahimYou will be going through some changes.
“The IdoCelebHomes News was informed that l’s artistic team is continuing to refine and develop their vision for the show. They have also agreed on a new direction. The production will adapt its cast and crew to suit this new style of the series. More information will be shared soon.
It is not clear at this time what these changes will be or how they may affect anyone. Multiple episodes were already in production. Production will now begin again. Variety.
The Idol was set to follow a club owner and cult leader (Tesfaye) who begins a relationship with a rising pop star, played by Lily Rose DeppIn her debut television lead role. It also includes the entire ensemble cast Red Rocketstar Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan All-American RejectsFrontman Tyson Ritter.
