The last episode ended with Rue (Zendaya) hallucinating her father and being held by LabrinthIn church, it was expected that this one would open in her hospital room. This was an amazing moment, which seemed to represent a change in Rue’s addiction. Some speculated that Rue had died.

Instead, the show begins with Rue’s mom, Leslie (Nika KingShe confronted her about her fall. Rue first blames GiaStorm Reid) for snitching, Leslie reveals it was Jules (Hunter SchaferElliot and ).Dominic Fike(who told Rue about her suitcase full of pills. Rue’s cries are “You don’t get it mom. This is terrible.
The drug-smuggling narcotics are already in the bathroom. She then destroys her house to search for them. She breaks down doors, smashes furniture and threatens her sister, which Jules and Elliot witness from the other room. For the first time, it seems like Jules understands the full extent of Rue’s addiction.
