A rising star has been lost by the University of Wisconsin.
Sarah ShulzeShulze, who was 21 and a rising star in cross-country running, committed suicide. Shulze’s relatives recently posted to their website a statement confirming her death on April 13.
The statement stated that Sarah was overwhelmed by the demands of academics, athletics, and everyday life in one, desperate moment. We are as shocked and grieving as you. But we hold on to everything Sarah has been.
They added, “Above everything else Sarah was an ability for good in the universe,”. She was a strong supporter of her sisters and showed deep compassion. AbbeyAnd EllaThe love she felt for her family every day and the extra time spent with her cousins and grandparents.
Shulze’s family emphasized the impact of college student Shulze on all those who were close to her after her death.
