It has achieved its greatest goal, the U.S. Soccer Federation.

On May 18, the Federation, the U.S. Women’s National Team Players Association (USWNTPA) and the U.S. National Soccer Team Players Association (USNSTPA) settled on historic collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) that achieve equal pay for international men and women players.

According to a USA Soccer statement posted on their website, “The CBAs which are in effect through 2028 achieve equal pay through identical economic terms.” These economic terms provide equal compensation in all competitions including the FIFA World Cup and the implementation of the same revenue sharing scheme for each team. They will also ensure that U.S. Soccer’s Senior National Team Players remain among the best-paid in the world.

U.S. Soccer is now the first soccer federation worldwide to receive equal FIFA World Cup prize money. This award was given to U.S. National Teams in exchange for participating in their World Cups.
