The “Girlfriend” singer and Mod announced their engagement on April 7, by each sharing Instagram photos of the proposal—which seemingly took place on a trip to Paris on March 27. Mod appears to be posing with Mod while looking at the Eiffel Tower from Mod’s knees, but the most popular photo is of Mod holding her diamond engagement band.
Mod’s gift to Avril of a diamond ring in the shape of a heart holds sentimental importance. Caryn AlpertCelebHomes News spoke with XIV Karats’ ring designer, Jeremy, in an exclusive interview. Caryn explained that he was trying to show her his love.
Caryn said that the ring they were both wearing was the pave-heart-shaped one they had both purchased from me randomly the day before they met. They haven’t taken it off since. Mod brought in his ring and was about to propose. It had to have been a heart, because of their heart connection.
