The Golden Globes!

The January evening when TV and film collide, there is nothing like it. A magical night where the champagne flows and almost anything happens. And we do mean Everything.

This year, for instance, will certainly be a—yes—unprecedented one. Amid criticism of the Hollywood Foreign Press and surging coronavirus cases, the ceremony will not be televised nor will there be an audience or red carpet. For the first time, the ceremony won’t have any surprises for us in its 75+ year history. We will not be surprised by winners who give a drunken acceptance speech, or red carpet appearances that leave our jaws dropping.

It’s worth looking back on all the crazy that has happened to us. Loss of winners, drunk presenters and confusing speeches, Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual party was the hub for every wild moment.
