This warrant requests all phone information that may be related to the Rust production and any person working on the production. No information will be collected that’s “unrelated” to the objective of the investigation, per the warrant.

Additional details regarding the investigation were also provided in warrant, which included Baldwin’s interview from Oct. 21. The document says that Alec told the police that Baldwin took the gun out from its holster and then turned the weapon very dramatically. This is how the gun went off.

It continues, “He said it was supposed to be a ‘cold gun’ so no flash charge or anything should have gone off. Alec said all the rounds in the gun were supposed to be cosmetic or ‘dummy’ rounds. Alec said that when the gun fired, Alec could remember Halyna Hutchins going down to the grown while Joel Souza started to scream.

Baldwin claimed that the trigger wasn’t pulled during an interview with ABC News. “Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me,” he said.

Baldwin said he had “no idea” how a live round allegedly got onto the set. He claimed, “Someone placed a live round in a firearm.” A bullet that was not supposed to have been on the property.
