NASCAR driver Kurt Busch has been dealing with some major changes in his personal and professional life over the last couple of years. Busch and the large racing team of Penske Racing broke ties after a very volatile and very publicized season in 2011, which left the 2004 Cup Series champ with only the smaller and less funded Phoenix Racing team for the 2012 season.
In his personal life Busch and his wife Eva also separated in 2011, which ended in their divorce. It now looks like he will also be parting ways with one of the couple’s former homes. Busch just recently listed his Virginia Beach condo for $2.8 million.
Built in 2007, the luxurious 3,371 square foot condo is full of modern amenities and design. With three bedrooms and four baths it includes granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances that accent the modern kitchen.
With dark woods and modern finishes filling the condo, there are floor to ceiling windows providing a lot of light and a breathtaking view. Property records state that Busch purchased the condo in 2009 for $2.8 million, same as the asking price, so its pretty obvious that he just wants to break even on the home.
The 2013 racing season marked a fresh start for the 34-year-old. He started racing for Furniture Row Racing, currently number 29. However, the season didn’t start out lucky. Busch started off the 2013 season crashing in the Sprint Unlimited on lap 14, finishing in 13th place. He finished fifth in the Budweiser Duel, but poor handling caused him to finish the Daytona 500 in 28th place. He didn’t improve much the next week at Phoenix, finishing in 27th place and 20th place in Las Vegas. Then things turned around for Busch, when he got fourth place at Bristol, so hopefully things will be looking up.
