Michael Jordan is an former professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls, entrepreneur, and majority owner and chairman of the Charlotte Bobcats. Jordan was one of the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation and was considered instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s.

Michael Jordan’s beautiful sprawling mansion in suburban Chicago hit the market back in the beginning of 2012 with a price tag of $29 million.

The 32,683 square foot house is located on seven acres of Highland Park. The mansion is being sold fully furnished, including the customized number 23, which was Jordan’s famed jersey number while on the Chicago Bulls.

Also located on the estate is a three-bedroom guesthouse, an outdoor tennis court, a pool, a lake and three climate-controlled multi-car garages that housed Michael Jordan’s car collection.

The two story mansion fit for a king contains nine bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms and 4 half baths. As to be expected the home also includes a full basketball court. The home was built in 1995, half way through Jordan’s “three-peat” with the Bulls and soon after his dabbling in baseball.

Earlier this year Michael Jordan lowered the price of this home by $8 million. With a 28 percent discount, Jordan may be thinking that it will move that much quicker or maybe he just figured for once he overshot his mark when placing the house up for sale in the first place. Either way at $21 million the estate still has a staggering price tag.

A major tourist destination for anyone visiting the Chicago area, Michael Jordan’s home in suburban Chicago has attracted people from around the world who wanted to come and have their pictures taken in front of the gates that held the basketball players famed number 23 as proof they had visited.
