Los Angeles is bait for all kinds of rich and successful folk, including Australia’s multiple Olympic gold winner Ian Thorpe. Ian Thorpe’s been out of the swimming pool for years. However, he’s been taking a dip in some business ventures. As far as it’s known, Thorpe is sponsored by a few big companies in Australia and two in America: Armani and Adidas. Also, he’s been trying to sell his 2 bed and 2 bath estate on Oak Court. The listing on Zillow’s current status is “Not For Sale.” Did Thorpe’s 960 sq ft home attract a buyer who willingly paid the asking price of $999,000?
Whether someone bought it or not, there’s a good chance that Ian will be living in NY. After all, he reportedly visits there often. But anywho, his quaint L.A. pad is very homey and low-key. Built in 1961, it boasts a large tranquil patio area that can accommodate a nice cookout. The patio overlooks the neighborhood beautifully in a manner like Leonardo DiCaprio being king of the world. The house is close to restaurants, shops……..ya know……..the works.
