HBO denies that season 2 of the production was a fraud. Euphoria was “toxic.”
On Friday, March 4, the network issued an apparent response to a Daily Beast report, published the same day, in which anonymous background actors alleged multiple SAG-AFTRA violations and “hellish” conditions. CelebHomes News was informed by a spokesperson from HBO that the “well-being of our cast and crew is always a priority.”
They continued, “The production was in full compliance with all safety guidelines and guild protocols. Complex shoots are not unusual in drama series. COVID protocols provide an extra layer.
You can find the Daily Beast, multiple background actors said they filed complaints to the SAG-AFTRA union because of the long work days and “production failing to provide them meals on time and refusing to let people use the bathroom,” as one anonymous source said.
The network stated in a statement that “never were any formal inquiries made.” The network added that it maintains open communication with all guilds, SAG-AFTRA included.
