His manager told CelebHomes News that the actor and Mississippian native died peacefully at home in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 24, after a battle against prostate cancer.

He stated, “Michael was survived by his spouse, Jennifer CarnoHe is the love of all his life, always united in good times and in sickness, and for ever.

The actor had revealed in a June interview on NBC’s Today show that he was diagnosed with the disease in September 2018.

“I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, which had spread to my bones,” he said. “I have been living with this diagnosis for almost three years…It is stage 4. Late stage cancer. You know what? It’s going to get me eventually.”
