Matthew PerryHe is willing to share his past drug abuse experiences and other details in his forthcoming memoir.

Flatiron Books has announced that they have purchased the rights for the Friends actor’s debut novel on Thursday, Oct. 28. According to the publisher, Perry’s book will take “readers behind-the-scenes and onto the soundstage of the most successful sitcom of all time while opening up about his private struggles with addiction.”

The memoir is described by the author as “candid, self aware” and “unflinchingly sincere,” but it’s also funny. 

This will be the first time that a main cast member has appeared in this role. Friends releases a memoir, meaning there will be plenty of new stories for fans of the sitcom to hear. According to the publisher, “This is a book that will make you laugh.” FriendsFans have been waiting for this moment.”

Editor Megan Lynch They said that they are excited to share this book with readers during “times of isolation and division.”
