The alleged altercation occurred at the Houston home of YoungBoy NBA, born Kentrell Gaulden, after Iyanna found Lapattra there and identified herself as the rapper’s fiancée, according to a previous report from TMZ, citing law enforcement sources. During her arrest, Iyanna allegedly told police that Jacobs had pulled her hair and ran into the kitchen, where the incident took place, per the outlet.
Kent A. Schaffer, an attorney for Iyanna, told CelebHomes News in a statement on April 15, “We resolved the case against Iyanna by reaching an agreement with the state.”
Schaffer stated that Iyanna will receive a term of deferred adjudication for a six-year period. At which point, her case will be dismissed. She will also not be convicted. Schaffer said that she would be eligible to terminate her employment early if she behaves well for two years.
He added that, although we are certain she did not cause the incident and was only acting to defend herself, neither her boyfriend nor the bodyguards of his were neutral witnesses. We were left in an awkward situation where we needed to determine if risking long sentences in prison was worth it when we could remove any risk.
