Here’s something that you don’t see in real estate every day; a celebrity’s childhood home being auctioned off. You all know Eminem, aka Marshall Mathers. And if you don’t, then watch the noteworthy film 8 Mile. Eminem has been in the music industry for two decades, and is more triumphant than ever. I wish that we could say the same for his childhood home in Detroit, which was bought by mama Mathers in 89′. She actually occupied the 767 sq ft residence for 14 years, even after Marshall’s debut success. I guess that like Howard Wolowitz’s mom, mama Mathers got emotionally attached to the home. And that’s fine and dandy, because she eventually moved on.

Eminem’s childhood house ironically sits on 0.11 acres of land, with a detached garage. It was built in 1945 and it’s ready to go. It’s all boarded up. Floor plan is 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. And, it’s still sporting that old-fashioned satellite antenna. And what!
