Elon MuskWill take control of Twitter.

He wrote to Twitter Chairman just weeks after becoming 50-years old and the largest shareholder. Bret Taylor on April 13, writing that the social media platform needed to be made private in order to protect free speech.

His words were: “I invested in Twitter because I believed it could be the platform to allow free speech across the globe. And I believe that free speech is an essential societal requirement for functioning democracy.” But, after making the investment, I realized that it will not thrive and serve this social imperative in its current form. Twitter should be transformed to a private corporation.

Because of these beliefs, Tesla CEO Stephen Musk offered to buy Twitter 100% for $54.20 per shares, equivalent to $43 Billion.

He wrote that “My offer was my final and best offer” and that, if rejected, he would have to reconsider his position as shareholder.
