It’s official: The Ellen DeGeneres Show The Daytime Talk Show was awarded the People’s Choice Award at 2021 People’s Choice Awards. Comedian and host Ellen DeGeneresAccepted the award from the presenter JoJo Siwa.
She said that it meant more to her, especially right now. “This will be our last season, so thank you all who voted. I am grateful to every person that I have shared the show with the past 19 year. You are all my best friends. You have been a great supporter of me over these past 19 years. The show is the most memorable experience in my life. It was a wonderful experience.
It beat out the popular talk show Good Morning America, Kelly and Ryan: Live With Kelly, Red Table Talk, The View Wendy Williams Show This is DeGeneres’ 13th win on the long-running series! DeGeneres is the winner of 25 People’s Choice Awards.
Fans have been preparing themselves for this fall ever since DeGeneres announced in May that season 19 would be the show’s last. DeGeneres revealed with The Hollywood Reporter, “When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged—and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore.”
