Two months before the conservatorship was terminated, Jamie was suspended as Britney’s co-conservator of her $57 million estate, a move her mom and his ex-wife Lynne endorsed, saying that she believed he was “incapable” of putting their daughter’s interests ahead of his own.

He later said in a statement through his lawyer, “For 13 years, [Mr. Spears]Attempted to Do What Is In [Britney’s]Be in her best interest, as either a conservator or her dad… Anyone who has ever tried to support a loved one with mental illness can understand the immense amount of worry and hard work involved. To Mr. Spears this meant he had to bite his tongue, not respond to the false, speculative, unsubstantiated criticisms he was receiving from certain members of society, the media or, most recently Britney’s attorney.
