Carrie backstage admitted that “I was nervous.” “I mean, it’s nerve racking anytime I’m on TV. When I do my live show I feel like I only have two hours to correct any mistakes. Live television is like a competition. You only get one chance to give your all.

That, combined with the knowledge that many of her favorite musicians would be watching, was enough to stoke a sense of fear—however, once the initial nerves passed, Carrie said she found the performance “exciting.”  

“It’s great that there is new music,” she said. [I’m]I am just as excited about the future.
