The story is full of humor and warmth, even though it has its dramatic moments.
What is the reason for this? It’s because co-creator Mindy Kaling, she wanted the show to be different from the college-centric series of her youth.
Mindy said that “when I was growing-up, if there were shows with young people I could see, it would be dramas” or “shows where the women were the boyfriend.”
