Actor Matt Damon who starred in the first three films of the “Bourne” series has purchased the Pacific Palisades home that he has had his eye on since it was speculated back in May of this year. The home that was described as the “best house in Pacific Palisades”, was listed for $15.95 million dollars but its reported that Damon got it for a bargain at $15 million. With 8,890 square feet of living space, the home has 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, mahogany vaulted ceilings and disappearing walls of glass that lend to an open floor plan. The home is situated on a half acre of land that boasts lush landscaping, a koi pond and a pavilion that houses a pool and spa.

Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso whom he married in a private civil ceremony on December 9, 2005 will live in the new home along with Damon’s step daughter, Alexia, from Barroso’s previous marriage, and the couple’s three daughters Isabella (born 2006), Gia Zavala (born 2008) and Stella Zavala (born 2010).

Matt Damon’s long and rich career in acting was launched in 1997 with the film “Good Will Hunting which was from a screenplay that he co-wrote with friend and fellow actor Ben Affleck. The pair went on to win an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and a Golden Globe for the film. Since then Damon has starred in several successful films which include “Saving Private Ryan” (1998), the “Ocean’s” trilogy and the first three films of the “Bourne” series.

Damon, an avid poker player has competed in several World Series of Poker events, including the 2010 World Series of Poker main event. He is also a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and after the team won the 2007 World Series, he narrated the commemorative DVD release of the event.
