It seems that the Beverly Hills penthouse that Lauren Conrad bought last year was only meant to be a temporary place to crash until she found a better dwelling. The former star of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills, who is now an up and coming fashion and online entrepreneur, just purchased a classic estate in the affluent Los Angeles enclave of Brentwood for $3.745 million.
Conrad sold her Hollywood Hills home, where her reality television show was filmed, early last year as proof that the series had come to an end. She then purchased the Beverly Hills penthouse shortly after, which seemed to be temporary until she found something that better suited her.
Lauren Conrad’s new 4,303 square foot estate was redesigned by Bravo designer and house flipper, Jeff Lewis. The six bedroom and five bathroom home includes a staff suite, a completely updated kitchen with white marble countertops and stainless steel appliances is designed in dark, polished wood floors that stand in contrast to the stark white walls.
Lauren Conrad rose to prominence after being cast in the reality television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which documented the lives of Conrad and her friends. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the fashion industry in 2006, Conrad was commissioned her own spin-off series The Hills, which recorded the personal and professional lives of her and friends Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port.
Lauren Conrad launched the fashion lines “LC Lauren Conrad” and “Paper Crown” in 2009 and 2011. She released the L.A. Candy book trilogy in 2010 and the spin-off The Fame Game series in 2012.
In 2008, Conrad began dating actor Kyle Howard. Howard expressed concern that appearing on reality television would interfere with his acting career so their relationship was not documented on The Hills. After three years together, Conrad and Howard ended their relationship in 2011. The following year, she began dating former Something Corporate guitarist William Tell.
