According to court documents obtained by CelebHomes News, the 44-year-old rapper has filed an opposition to his estranged wife’s request for bifurcation, in which she asks the court to declare her legally single as she continues to work on a divorce settlement. Ye’s lawyer stated in documents that Kim’s motion must be denied without prejudice to allow Kim to refile the case with all the required corrections and conditions set out in the proposed judgement. A hearing about these additional conditions could be held.

CelebHomes News reached Kim’s legal team but has yet to hear back.

The legal development comes nearly year after Kim, 41, first filed for divorce.
