The Johnson family is heading to the big-screen?
It is the creators aren’t opposed, but we’ll have to wait a bit to find out. The Black-ish series finale aired April 19, and creator Kenya Barris Showrunner Courtney Lilly have revealed that they’d be open to a movie in 10 years, to show where the family ended up.
Lilly told Deadline that Hollywood had not kicked her out of their house for making me too old after 10 years.
Barris said that although “every story comes to an end” there are still many tales that could be told together, and that makes Barris want to do it again.
Lilly added that they weren’t ready for the award-winning ABC comedy series—starring Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross Yara Shahidi—to end. She said, “We were literally like that. There’s no reason why it should end.” You can keep it going for many more years.”
