Recent years have seen a decrease in diversity Friends—where Kudrow starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer Matt LeBlanc from 1994 to 2004—has been called into question.

The actress said that she felt like the show was created by two individuals who attended Brandeis University and had written about their lives. The Daily Beast Aug. 10. August 10. It’s not their job to write stories about what it is like being a person from color.

Brandeis University is a private university that focuses on the liberal arts in Boston.

Kudrow recognized, however, that not enough was being done to mentor creatives of color, adding, “I think at that time, the big problem that I was seeing was, ‘Where’s the apprenticeship?'”
