In a June 1 statement, the Dallas Cowboys stated that “we are heartbroken over the tragic death Marion Barber III.” Marion was a tough, traditional football player. He ran for every win with determination. Marion had passion for football and a deep love of his teammates and coaches. Marion’s friends and family are in our thoughts during this time of sorrow.

According to Frisco Police spokesperson, the statement was made Joshua LovellSubmitted Star-Telegram They responded to Barber’s “welfare concern” about an apartment that was believed to have been leased. According to the outlet, Barber had been found dead in his home.

The cause of death is not yet known.

Barber played six of his eight-year football career in the NFL with the Cowboys from 2005 to 2011. His time with the Chicago Bears was over in 2011, and he retired shortly before the 2012 season began.
