Celebs and we average folks simply can’t get enough of the land down under, and celebs have the means to set up shop in the wild country.  Australia is a gorgeous land with a wide range of wildlife, a relaxed culture, and plenty of space to build a life.

You may be looking to buy a home in Australia yourself, and it’s interesting to see what the land has to offer.  If you’re looking to live vicariously through some of your most beloved celebrities, you’ve come to the right place.

Take a moment to check out a few big names who have found a home in the great lands of Australia.

Chris Hemsworth

Chris and his family relocated to the coastal outskirts of Byron, Australia around four years ago.  Chris and his wife, Elsa, spend time enjoying the beach with their two children.

The Aussie coastline provides plenty of opportunities for surfing, sunbathing, and swimming on demand for the whole family.  The star’s mansion in Broken Head is worth around $10 million, and it spares no expense on luxury.

Ricky Martin

A few years back, Ricky Martin and his family stayed in a mansion in Bronte that has been estimated to be worth more than $11 million.

From the comfort of this home, Martin and his son Matteo had the option to work out in their personal gym with unparalleled views of the ocean out the window.

The home featured two pools as well; one for lapping, and one family-sized recreation pool.  A place to cool off is important when you’re living in Australia.

Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe is an Australian transplant from New Zealand, which makes him unique in his own right.  Crowe had trouble obtaining his Australian citizenship, but ended up in a gorgeous place in New South Wales.

As a matter of fact, the actor owns several homes in the province.  Russell Crowe has an excellent relationship with the communities of New South Wales, and he enjoys adding to the local outreach programs.

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman was the starring actor in a film named Australia that showed a flood of breathtaking images of the iconic Australian Outback, and his real-life love for the country showed.  Hugh enjoys a penthouse priced around $6 million in Sydney.

Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson is an American, however, he spent much of his childhood living in Australia.  Sydney was his home for many years, and the actor still finds comfort in having a place to call home in the area.

Gibson has bought and sold several properties in New South Wales over the years, but most recently has settled into Macintyre’s Place in Sydney.
