1. What’s your favorite Halloween moment?
There are many iconic Halloween looks in pop culture, but I loved working alongside Gigi on her “The Mask”. It’s the perfect combination between glamour and Halloween costume.
2. What was your childhood Halloween costume?
Growing up, I didn’t really dress up for Halloween. As I grew older, however, Halloween has become something I really enjoy. I often have multiple costumes each year. It’s great to help others with their costumes, and to see what other people come up. My friends are so creative!
3. Are you dressing up in Halloween costumes this year? Do you have any Halloween costumes?
Yes! Yes! I have three costumes this year. This year, I will be a (Red), Power Ranger and Boxer. My friends and I are each stoning our costumes. Although it was a lot of work, it is so rewarding at the end.
4. What is your favorite Halloween candy recipe?
Reese’s is my favourite Halloween candy. They are so delicious.
5. What do you think about the candy corn debate? Great or gross.
I’m not a fan of candy corn. I prefer chocolate!
6. Are there any other parts of the spooky season that you love? Decorating, watching scary movies, and so on.What is your favorite thing about Halloween?
Yes, I love fall for so much. Pumpkin carving parties are great fun and a great night out with friends. Everyone gets to create their own pumpkins and it’s a fun way to spend quality time with your loved ones and friends without having to worry about distractions.
I love hosting movie nights, especially in the fall. It’s great to gather your friends around when it gets colder. A pumpkin carving party followed by movie night is a bonus.
7. Are you more into “scary” Halloween costumes or “pretty?”
Although I love pretty Halloween glam, it is what I prefer to do, I believe the best Halloween costume has elements of both “scary and pretty”. It’s easy to add fake blood or scars to make it more glamorous.
8. Your Halloween makeup inspiration for celeb clients comes from where? Is it a collaboration or do the celeb clients come to you with a theme and you create the look?
My clients often bring me their costume or ideas and then I create the glam elements. I always discuss the looks with my clients first to make sure we are on the exact same page.
9. Are there any tips or recommendations for someone who wants to really go all out for their Halloween beauty look?
Preparation is key! You should always have a plan and know what you want to do. Make sure you have the right tools and products in order to achieve your look. You should prepare your skin for the event so that the products you use blend seamlessly with the skin. Halloween glam does not have to be complicated or difficult to master. It’s about taking your vision and adapting it to your style and skill level.
10. If you’re doing a spooky costume, what are tips on a beauty look that goes with it but is still super glam/flattering/on-trend?
I love a cohesive look and this is what I do across all my looks. So that it feels intentional, I recommend sticking with the same colors as the costume. Also, it’s so important to take your time and if you make a mistake— that’s okay, go back and fix it so it’s exactly what you want it to look like.
11. Do you have any suggestions for trendy Halloween costumes that can be easily made at home to create pretty beauty looks?
It’s easy to recreate any decade look using makeup, regardless of whether you’re going for a mod look in the 1960s, disco 7’0s, glam look in the 80s, or an angsty style in the 90s. Makeup is easy to recreate the early 2000s look. You are ready to go! Use a dark shadow, a dark lip liner, and pencil your eyebrows.
12. Are there any go-to products, colors or techniques you love for Halloween?
For any Halloween look, it is essential to prepare your skin. Warm glam looks are my preferred style, but I love bold Halloween looks that include a bold lip like my Major Headlines Matte Sude Lipstick in She Must Be New.
My new Major Headlines Limited Edition Blush Palette is also going to be a major essential for me during Halloween and the upcoming holiday season – I can’t wait to use it for every look, it’s so versatile.
13. Here are some quick makeup tips to help anyone who is celebrating Halloween last-minute.
I tend to be the person who comes up with my Halloween costumes last-minute. I always rely upon makeup to bring the costume to life. Pre-made FX makeup is something so simple that many people forget. You can grab fake blood, fake injuries and fake scars to help you realize your vision.
I feel that people often overlook the importance of body glow when dressing up for Halloween. To make your skin glow for Halloween, I recommend the Major Glow Body Oil and the Major Glow Balm.
