The WWE is speaking out after Naomi Sasha Banks were noticeably absent from Monday Night Raw.
According to a May 17 statement, the company confirmed that they entered the office of John Laurinaitis, WWE Head Talent Relations, with their bags in hand. They then placed the tag team championship belts onto his desk, before walking out.
The organization claims that Sasha is the real name Mercedes Varnado, and Naomi, née Trinity Fau, felt “they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions” and claimed they had safety concerns. They claimed that even though they took eight hours to prepare and build their match they found it difficult to be in the ring together with their two opponents.Monday Night RawIt is a scripted, live television show in which the characters must meet all requirements.
According to the statement, it was stated that “We are sorry we couldn’t deliver tonight’s main events as promised.”
