On the red carpet, he said that “it hasn’t always felt open.” I have not always felt visible. “Sometimes, as the LGBTQ+ Black Community feel a bit invisible.”

Luckily, his feelings have changed over time, as he told Daily Pop, “It’s good to be here in this space with the Black community.”

With all the negativity around the world right now, 52-year-old says it’s better to talk about the differences of people than have an argument.

Porter said, “We are all in this together.” It’s all about humanity. It’s all about our collective humanity. Respect is the best way to heal this civilization.
