
Cross-country skiing in Finland Remi LindholmHis Olympic debut was ended with minimal damage to his equipment… and we don’t mean his skis.
“You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished,” the 24-year-old athlete told Finnish media after the men’s 50km start free event, his last race at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics on Saturday, Feb. 19, according to Reuters.
Lindholm walked to his locker to use a heat pack in order to loosen his crotch after the race was reduced to just 30km. Lindholm said that the pain became unbearable after the race.
According to Reuters, Lindholm spent over an hour navigating the ski course in howling, freezing winds.
Lindholm said that it was “one of the most frustrating competitions” he’d ever participated in. “It was all about fighting through.”
And this is not the first time the skier has suffered a frozen penis during a competition. In Ruka, Finland, last year, he had an identical incident. Finnish newspapers reported that he told them. Iltaheti that the Olympics course was icier.
