Guitarist Gord LewisOn August 7, 2007, he was found murdered in Hamilton, Ontario. He was 65.
In a Instagram statement, the band stated that “We are devastated and still trying to deal with the loss our friend, brother and bandmate Gord Lewis.” Our thoughts and prayers are with Gord’s family, and those who knew him. Gord was an inspiration and a force to many. We were too quick to take you from us.”
On Aug. 8, the Hamilton Police Department held a press conference in which they confirmed Gord’s 41-year-old son Jonathan LewisHe was taken into custody and charged as second-degree murder. Detective Sergeant Sara BeckAccording to the statement, “We do not seek any additional suspects as we believe this incident was unique.”
Police stated that they had responded to an address and found a dead male in his 60s. It was determined that the victim had suffered injuries from foul play, and it was therefore homicide.
