Joe Biden Wins 2020 U.S. Election: Celebrities React

President Joe Biden is self-isolating at the White House after testing positive for COVID-19.

Press Secretary Karine Jean PierreThe president shared health news from July 21. He stated that he was fully vaccinated, twice-boosted and is experiencing mild symptoms. 

Jean-Pierre announced that “he has begun to take Paxlovid,” and added that he will adhere to CDC guidelines until the test is negative. Jean-Pierre stated that Biden will continue “all of his duties” until then.

Jean-Pierre stated that he had been in touch with White House staff members by telephone this morning. He also indicated that he would participate in the White House meetings via Zoom and phone from his residence.

Biden, 79, will return to in-person work once he tests negative for COVID-19. Jean-Pierre said that “out of an abundance transparency,” the White House would provide daily updates on President Biden’s condition as he continued to perform the full office duties while isolated.
