Peacock will feature the actress in its upcoming dark comedy thriller Based on True StoryNBCU announced the launch of its streaming service on August 8.
According to Peacock, the series is inspired by a bizarre real-life event “about a realtor, a plumber and a former tennis star whose lives unexpectedly collide, exposing America’s obsession with true crime, murder and the slow close toilet seat.”
Kaley will play a married woman named Ava Bartlett. Other plot details remain secret at the moment.
Nominated for Emmy Award Craig Rosenberg (The Boys, Lost() will be the executive producer and writer. Ozark‘s Jason Bateman and Michael CostiganAs executive producer, Roxie Rodriguez is also involved. Roxie Rodriguez is co-executive producing Aggregate Films. UCP will produce the series, which is a division within Universal Studio Group.
Kaley recently received her second consecutive Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress for her performance in The Flight Attendant.
