Stars speak out against Roe V. Wade Draft Leak by Supreme Court

Janelle Monáe Let everyone know what she thinks about the Supreme Court.

The following are the Antebellum actress took the stage to present the award for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist at the 2022 BET Awards June 26, she took a moment to send a big “f—k you” to the Supreme Court after they voted in a 5-4 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which established the constitutional right to abortion in the U.S. in 1973.

Janelle said, “I would like to give an extra, special shoutout Black women, Black queer artist, and Black nonbinary artist.” These artists are making art in their own way, fully embracing our truths and speaking out unapologetically and freely in an environment that attempts to police and control our bodies and minds. 

Janelle announced, “F-K you Supreme Court,” and then held her middle finger high as applause erupted from the Microsoft Theater.
