It was announced by the company on Thursday February 17th that the first residential site in Coachella Valley will be used to launch the program. From there, the team will build the “Cotino” community, which will include homes fans will have the opportunity to buy. The company has not announced the number of homes that will be made available nor how much.
Disney chose the location in Ranch Mirage, Calif., because it was where the man who made our dreams come true through movies and amusement parks—Walt Disney—once owned a home with his family, according to a Disney press release.
