5 They have released their debut album in 2019

The bands included EMPRAG Flip made the decision to be a solo artist. Their single, “About You”, dropped in 2018. In 2019, they also released their first solo album. According to BillboardThe album reached no. 6. It also earned G Flip nominations in the Breakthrough Artist and Best Independent Release categories at the Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (essentially, the Australian version of the Grammys). 

6) They’ve collaborated with a number of artists.

7) They believe their music can help other people.

“I struggled with my sexual and gender identity for years because there wasn’t anyone that I felt could relate to me,” G Flip said around the release of “Gay 4 Me,” per NME. “I wish there was a nonbinary gay lead singer to help me. It would have quietened the voices that spoke in my head telling me I did not belong as my true self. “If I can put those voices to rest for somebody else, then my job as a human being on the planet is over.”
