Chet Hanks appeared on the Showtime series Ziwe for an interview that was chaotic, to say the least. Host Ziwe Fumudoh quizzed Tom Hanks and Rita WilsonChet was asked by his son to talk about past scandals, and he did so with surprising grace.
When Ziwe brought up the time that Chet, who called his fans “Cheddars,” spoke in a Patois accent— a form cultural appropriation—Chet said, “I don’t feel like I’ve truly done anything offensive.”
So it is just like social justice warriors are able to kick rocks? Ziwe inquired, and he responded, “I 100% agree.” “Social justice warriors are able to kick rocks,” Ziwe replied.
Chet made a joke about the host, while also showing his songwriting talents. “Ooooooh Ziwe. Should we have a 3-way?” he sings before adding: “Just kidding. That’s the only thing that rhymes with Ziwe.”
