ABC will air a special entitled Belle and the Beast to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Disney’s classic being nominated as the best animated film. Beauty and the Beast: The 30th Annual CelebrationCelebHomes News confirmed that the show will air on December 15.
The network describes it as an animated-live-action blend special that lasts two hours. It also offers fans the opportunity to anticipate new musical performances to accompany their favorite songs like “Be Our Guest”, and “Gaston.”
ABC stated that “The special presentation features live musical performances never before seen and includes brand-new sets, breathtaking costumes and stunning costumes inspired by the iconic story.” Each performance was created to honor the story while adding another layer to it for home viewers. Disney Studios will present songs from the animated original to a live audience.
