5 Celebrity Garages that are Jaw-Dropping

Typically, one of the hallmarks of success – at least for those who love cars – is a garage full of classic or exotic cars that would make Henry Ford jealous. If you remember the MTV series Cribs, you’ll remember that most episodes of the series took a stop by each celebrity’s garage to take a look at their collection. However, while many celebs own a small fleet of cars that match their taste, only a few famous folks possess a collection that is truly impressive.

1. Jay Leno

Former late-night comedian Jay Leno’s garage is described as a “compound,” and there’s a good reason why. Leno’s garage currently holds an astonishing 169 cars and 117 motorcycles. His collection spans both modern cars to classic cars from the 1940s. Leno’s garage spans over 17,000 square feet and includes a fabrication shop, a machine shop, and a kitchen. He also employs a full team of mechanics. Leno currently hosts “Jay Leno’s Garage,” where most of his collection can be viewed.

2. Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld’s garage is nestled in Manhattan, and it is outfitted in such a manner that the passing observer won’t even know it’s there. Seinfeld’s garage is underground, running three stories deep under the streets of one of New York’s most populous boroughs. It is home to rare vehicles such as a 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder and a Porsche 959 as well as other one-of-a-kind cars. The garage is climate-controlled and is outfitted with a number of cameras so that Seinfeld can view his car collection at will. The garage is also home to a living space, an office, and a kitchen area. The garage is actually four separate garages in one location.

3. Ralph Lauren

The clothing mogul built a private garage for his vehicles after acquiring just over sixty cars, including a very rare McLaren F1LM – one of only five in the entire world. Lauren’s garage is organized by vehicle brand and color, as designed by the VP of Ralph Lauren Clothing, Alfredo Paredes. The garage is two stories with black floors and white walls. The garage was originally a car dealership located near his New York home.

4. John Travolta

Travolta is a fan of both vintage cars and flying, so his garage is a testament to both passions. His Florida garage offers space for his cars as well as his private jets, which he flies personally. The garage itself holds sixteen cars, and the exterior of the garage facility offers two runways. His garage expands out enough that it is considered the largest fully-paved private airport in the world; he can park an entire row of jets on this property.

5. Guy Fieri

Guy Fieri loves cars so much that he’s pictured at the opening of his show driving in one of his collector pieces. His personal garage is located in Northern California, and it includes a bar as well as some impressive automobile decor (vintage car hoods on the walls, anyone?). One of his favorites is a yellow 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle, which is remortgaged his home to purchase.
