Hollywood has lost an iconic actor. 

David WarnerHe was a star in several films. Titanic, The OmenHis family told NBC that he died on July 24th from a “cancer related illness”. He was eighty-eight years old. 

In a family statement, his relatives said that “Over the past eight months, he approached his diagnosis avec a characteristic grace et dignity.” Our family, friends and loved ones will be greatly missed. We’ll always remember him as a loving, generous, patient, father and partner whose extraordinary contributions have touched many peoples lives throughout the years. We are deeply sorry.”

Warner’s actress partner Lisa BowermanThe star was honored by a tribute song TwitterJuly 25, She wrote, “Goodnight sweet Prince,” alongside Warner’s photo. “May flights of angels…Heartbroken. #davidwarner.”

The English actor will be remembered for a number of significant roles over the years, including his portrayal of Spicer Lovejoy—a bodyguard to Cal Hockley (Billy Zane)—in 1997’s Titanic.
